Thanks for Thanksgiving

Yesterday I gave thanks for family, friends, the internet, cell phones, skype, and all the wonderful ways to keep in touch with those I love.
I guess the only good thing was, I got to keep all the leftovers!

Monday still going

I know it is Tuesday but it still feels like a Monday, my hubbies out patient surgery turned in to a hold, his bp sky rocketed and we spent the rest of the day in the ER of the hospital trying to get things under control.

The ER staff got him back on track, surgery on hold.

A quick reality check of how fragile we all are and now it is Tuesday.

Thank goodness life is going on.

Monday detoured

tody my hubbie goes for a little surgery to fix something, nothing huge but how a detour in our lives. His business has been busy and the down times fun. This little procedure while not life threatening is a cloud forming around our happy lives. I worry, he is worrying (a little). We know things will be fine but when our health is compimised there is a feeling of a lurking storm ahead. How long will he be laid up, will he feel better, will it affect his work and all the outdoor activities he likes to do?
Of course we are going to Suck It Up, Go Forward and Smile.

So come on Monday

It's showering stars

4:30a.m. I am up and looking at the stars, there is a meteor shower tonight and a few of them have made it to the space over my back yard. Me, the sky and a 6mo puppy watching this light show, now this is how to get a day started.

Friday the 13th

Bring it on! The planets are moving, the earth is whirling, atmospheres are breathing. There is energy galloping through our veins.
Oh yeah it is Friday the 13th, I always forget what that is really supposed to mean, good thing I don't pay too much attention to date meaning.
The sun is shining, I am grateful for this day. Yeaaaaa

relax with a shark's tooth

had a wonderful Sunday, walked on the beach for a few miles and found sharks teeth. Small triangle shaped antiques, in fact fossils ,simmered in the seas for a long time then tossed on shore for us lucky wanderers to find.

Black, gray and brown, smaller than original size, and hard to spot amongst the shells. When a discovery is made whooo hoo! In the bag to be brought home, washed and put in the glass jar we are trying to fill.

A small unexpected thrill with every one found! No money involved, no special equipment, just us, the beach and an occasional treaure. Nice

What is it about Friday's that changes your attitude?? A little down time coming up? New adventures on the weekend? Time with family and friends? Something to look forward to.

Sesame Street

My kids and Sesame Street. There was a point in time when my living room was a large part of my daily world, winter in NY ,2 babies and 2 little ones watching it snow for days, there was nothing that would put sunshine in the atmosphere like the Sesame Street theme song. We danced, sang and cheered cookie monster, then read their books and imagined our room to be a street.

Sad was the day when I got my first cup of coffee and settled in to the first strains of the show only to discover my little ones weren't there with me. They had suddenly grown and were on their way to school; leaving me, big bird and cookie monster on our own. A small chapter in youth; they found Sesame Street and had moved on.

Can't wait to have a morning with my grandchildren, we'll find that street again!

Day after Monday

Did I reach my goals for Monday? Sure. Had a great Monday,woke up smiling ready for today and what ever I decide is important to me will be my goals for Tuesday

Reaching and working towards are the momentum to keep you smoothly going through the week.

Yeaaa for you

Wrote my goals for today and they may not seem too exciting to most but I am happy to pursue them, work day, do a great job today because tomorrow will be even better. New book coming soon, can't wait.
Like any goal it's the anticipation that gets me going. Pick something for the day and have at it, even if it doesn't look too exciting, if you reach for it you are moving forward. Yeaaaa for you
